An Axle Beam has no Brakes or Hubs fitted. Certain sized Axle Beams can be fitted with Weld Rings or Caliper Mounts for the fitment of brakes at a later stage. The Axle Beam can also be fitted with the Axle Seats for the Springs. When ordering an Axle Beam we would need to know the Tip to Tip length of the axle. This is the overall length of the axle from the end of one threaded end to the other. If Axle Seats are to be fitted we would need to know the Centre to Centre measurement for the positioning of the Axle Seats. An Axle Beam comes complete with Axle Nuts and Washers.
A No Braked Axle comes fitted with Wheel Hubs at each end. The size of the Hub is dependent on the size of the axle steel used, the stud pattern required and the bearing set used. No Braked Axles can also be fitted with Weld Rings or Caliper Mounts for fitment of brakes at a later stage. A No Braked Axle can also be fitted with the Axle Seats for the Springs. When ordering a No Braked Axle we would need to know one of two measurements. (1) The Tip to Tip length of the axle. This is the overall length of the axle from the end of one threaded end to the other. (2) The Face to Face measurement. This is the distance between the Left Hand and Right Hand mounting face that the wheel bolts to. This is the preferred measurement as it ensures that the wheels will remain in the same position. If Axle Seats are to be fitted we would need to know the Centre to Centre measurement for the positioning of the Axle Seats. We would also need to know the Stud Pattern that is to be used for the wheel hubs.

Our Axle Order Form has a detailed diagram of the measurements required and how they are obtained.
IMPORTANT.
It is important to remember that the measurements mentioned above are assuming that the Axle Beam or No Braked Axle is a replacement unit and the same wheels are to be used when refitting. Any change to the wheel being used could dramatically affect these measurements. If changing wheels refer the the Axle Order Form for details of the measurements required
