This commonly involves fitting new axles and springs as well as retrofitting Cruisemaster Independent Suspension in place of beam axles and leaf springs.

This type work usually involves removing existing leaf suspension mounts and brackets and replacing it with weld-on hinges for the independent trailing arms to mount to. Provision is made for top coil mounts as well as shock absorber mounts. In some cases it may be required to relocate water tanks or temporarily remove trailer wiring.
